COLLEGE LIFE

Academic Support

Academic Support

Developing life-long learning skills and graduate qualities.

ACADEMIC SUPPORT

The tutorial program

The Program’s primary aim is to assist all students in achieving their academic goals and developing life-long learning skills which will improve their employability and help them succeed in their professional roles.

Our resident postgraduate students and outstanding undergraduate students become a trusted teaching resource. Tutors must have a strong academic record and a minimum Distinction grade in the Unit of Study they are teaching. External tutors are either members of University staff or graduates.

ACADEMIC SUPPORT

Academic support shaped around how you learn best

The Senior Tutor and Resident Academic Deans oversee the Tutorial Program and monitors your academic progress throughout your years in College. Under co-operative arrangements between St John’s and the other colleges, you may also attend tutorials at other colleges. This integrated approach ensures continuity in your learning journey.

Tutorial & Study Spaces

Study spaces

An important aspect of your academic life at College is the quality
of your study space. Different zones around the College help you concentrate in silence, work with a friend or study in a group.
