Library and study spaces
Providing spaces for optimal study.

Nagle Library
Committed to academic excellence, St John’s College provides spaces to learn, to study in peace and to collaborate with other students in group workspaces.
The heart of these academic spaces is the Nagle Library, named for our benefactor, Justice John Nagle (1914 – 2009). Fully refurbished in 2018, the Library holds the College’s collection of heritage and general resources and provides study spaces zoned for different learning styles.
ACCESS
The Library is available to current St John’s College students and senior residents and is open 24 hours during semester. Online access is available via our catalogue, Aquila.
College alumni, researchers and other interested parties are invited to contact the Librarian for access.
DONATIONS
We greatly appreciate the donation of books, photos and other College memorabilia which have enriched our Library and Archive collections over our history. You will find donation guidelines in the Library’s Collection Development Policy. To discuss a possible donation, please contact the Librarian.
The Philosophical
Room
The Philosophical Room holds the College’s special collections and the Readying Room holds the General Reading Collection.
