Our purpose is to:

  • Provide a vibrant community for students, residential and non-residential, in which to promote their intellectual, spiritual, social and cultural development

  • Encourage individuals to become future leaders within the College, the University, the wider community and the Church

  • Expand the horizons of our students, presenting an attractive Christian vision of life

  • Promote the engagement between the Catholic Church and University of Sydney

Our five-year vision:

We aspire to be a strong, visible, self sustaining Catholic residential college within the University of Sydney maintaining the best traditions of university life.

We will achieve this by:

  • Establishing strong relationships, communicating well and involving our students, parents, staff, alumni, Foundation, Association, University of Sydney, Church and local community

  • Providing students with accommodation and surroundings that enable them to develop in a secure and caring environment

  • Resourcing the College with well qualified administrative and pastoral care staff

  • Effective student recruitment

  • Offering scholarships to attract and retain quality students

  • Providing an environment which encourages superior academic results

  • Offering a comprehensive tutorial programme

  • Fostering a positive ethos that values and respects individuality, leadership, contribution to College and community life and rewards the achievement of results

  • Strong financial management including the development of third party revenues

  • Fund raising for capital work

  • Encouraging debate and discussion of issues affecting the Catholic Church

  • Attracting a distinguished group of honorary associates/fellows as mentors of students and as external ambssadors
