13.12.1950 – 25.08.2017
St John’s College is deeply saddened by the death of alumnus Adam Bisits (SJC 1970-74) on Friday, 25 August 2017. Adam passed away at home following a short illness.
Adam was a lifelong supporter of the College, a longstanding member of the Board of the College Foundation, and most recently was Chair of the Foundation.
Adam was a highly experienced lawyer and brought a deep intellect and passion to the cause of industrial relations reform advocacy. He was a member of the board of the HR Nicholls Society from 2003 and became the society’s President in April 2010. Adam previously practised in Sydney but from 2001 he lived and worked in Melbourne.
Adam was a devoted husband to Mary-Anne and father of Alice Catriona, Xavier and Edward. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends at this difficult time.
The Requiem Mass for the Eternal Repose of the Soul of Adam will take place at St Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 17 MacKenzie Street, Lavender Bay, New South Wales on Friday, 1 September 2017 at 1.30pm.
Requiescat in Pace
