Resident Assistants
The RAs are junior tutors (sophomore and senior students). They are appointed to provide basic pastoral care and supervision, to assist the senior staff and to support the House Committee. Though they are part-time staff members, they are also students. They have an important leadership role to play in promoting good relations between staff and the student body. If you are anxious about approaching members of the senior staff, please see one of the RAs in the first instance.
The generic RA mobile number is 0411 961 746.
If ringing internally, simply dial 391 to reach an RA.
Ask the Appropriate Person!
We endeavour to prioritize work and apportion it fairly across the College staff, so it would be appreciated if students approach the appropriate staff directly with requests.
If students are having problems of any kind, or simply need advice, all staff are available to help. While their special areas of responsibility should be noted, all members of staff at St John's are sufficiently briefed as to be approachable, friendly and helpful at all times, about any matter of concern.
