“I am very pleased that the Archbishop has reappointed the College Council for a further three years to enable it to complete the process of governance reforms which was commenced in 2013”, said St John’s College Rector, Adrian Diethelm.
“Since that time the College staff and I have worked closely with the Council in bringing about transformational change in the student culture at St John’s. I am proud of the way in which the student leadership in the college over that time has recognised the need for change and has worked with the College leadership in achieving that. The encouragement and support of the Council in this process has been vital”.
The reappointment of the Council provides a most welcome opportunity to continue the process of governance reform to put in place a framework which is appropriate for a Catholic university college in the 21st century.
