our story

St John's College, located within the Camperdown Campus of the University of Sydney, is the oldest Catholic College in Australia. The St John's community consists of 265 residential students and a number of skilled staff.  We boast an Alumni of thousands of highly successful, well-respected, upstanding members of the broader community.

As well as maintaining an academic focus, we believe that students need to belong to recognisable, personal, human households in which men and women of different interests, races, genders, economic backgrounds and faiths can live in harmony.

At St John's all these things happen: we are a broad-minded, co-educational Catholic community that proudly welcomes non-Catholics and non-Christians to full, equal and respectful membership.
