Where are you now?
We are constantly hearing from Johnsmen with fascinating stories to tell. We would love to hear from you, and let your peers know what you've been up to, so please contact us so we can profile your story, your career, your travels, your achievements, your inventions, your aspirations right here on YOUR alumni pages. Help the Johnsmen and women of the world keep in touch with you! Submissions of 200 words or so are really appreciated (so we don't have to edit too heavily) but if you're more verbose than that, don't hold back – we might feature your story in The Word magazine (twice a year by post) instead!
The most recent stories are below.
Others who have contacted us might be found in the next edition of The Word (April 2008) so make sure your address is updated through the Development Office – development@stjohns.usyd.edu.au
John Atchison (1993 - 1996)
John has recently contacted us from Ireland, where he is working with Accenture, an IT Development company with whom he was working in Victoria and successfully applied for a transfer to the Emerald Isle. He and his wife are enjoying life just north of Dublin. John will be there for a year or so and plans to return to Melbourne sometime in 2009. Unfortunately he won't be here for our planned Melbourne and Adelaide reunions this year, but if anyone else is interested in catching up with friends south (and west) of the border, please call the Development Office or email development@stjohns.usyd.edu.au
Dominic Dowling (1996 - 1997) - son of Laurie (1962-1966)
Feel a disaster coming on? Contact Dominic, who, amongst other amazing feats, has invented QuakeSafe Adobe® an earthquake-proof dwelling for areas at risk of being decimated by a dreaded earthquake. But that's not all... Dominic's story is full of adventure and generous use of his time and skill for the benefit of others. Read his story in the next edition of The Word magazine, out in April 2008... See? There's a good reason to update your details with the Development Office!
